Yes, I’m going to broach this unbroachable subject.
I’m going to do it because I have a perspective on this which has been eating me up inside, and I have to get it out.
Even if it means becoming a mockery to friends and neighbours.
I’m going to tread on these eggshells.
I’m going to jump this shark…
First things first…
I’m not going to claim to know what’s discussed at these billionaire meetings, where they decide who the next presidential candidates are going to be; but just as the ancients tried to understand who the “creator” was by studying nature, I can attempt to understand what these billionaires are doing by studying the results.
The first thing that was amazing to me was the global maligning of a single political figure. I don’t know that history has ever seen anything like it. At the end of the day, no matter who it was, the concerted level of universal mockery was unparalleled.
I traveled to 16 countries during this period of time and I’m here to tell you that this was indeed a global phenomenon. Everyone knew who he was and the mention of his name was almost always followed by a snicker.
I can’t say for sure why this was done, but I can tell you what the result was, the dismissal, by simple proxy, of the entire political party he represented. 75,000,000 people in the United States alone. Cancelled. As if amazing minds had never existed on that side of the political fence before.
And in case you don’t believe there are amazing minds on the Right, watch some Thomas Sowell and tell me he’s not amazing. I challenge you.
As a consequence, the Right Wing voice was almost entirely deleted from mainstream media. And along with that, went balanced opinion, or, if we’re being completely honest, semi-balanced opinion.
Which led to the deepest schism between Right and Left modern day America has ever seen.
This was shortly followed by big tech, Google, youtube, twitter, facebook, amazon web services, de-platforming 100s of thousands of people for so much as implying that they agreed with any aspect of this now smeared political party.
Right Wingers were begrudgingly relegated to newly created platforms; distinct echo chambers created just for them, easily distinguished by the rallying cry of, “free speech” a once powerful concept now turned into the laughable slogan of the hillbilly Right.
And the popular platforms became exclusive echo-chambers for the Left.
During the 2020 election the segregated Right-wing platforms were presented with non-stop video evidence of fraud, dozens of hours of citizen testimonials to prove said fraud and the promise of, “the release of the Kraken!” a creature that was silently dismissed the day after the election was lost.
While the insulated Left was assured by social media that there was no rigged election, banned any mention of the argument with a fact-check which read “there is no evidence of election fraud” and made a mockery of anyone that dared to look and see for themselves.
Which happened the day after the election, before ballots were even scrutinized and before the democratic process even had a chance to accurately determine it.
And the social norm quickly became, “Believe everything we say” or be one of the cancelled and mocked, “agree with us” or bear the label of fascist, racist, sexist or any other dehumanizing -ist suddenly reserved for the Right.
All stereotypes now conveniently represented, by a bright red hat.
And if that wasn’t enough, in the midst of of it all, we entered into a pandemic, which left us little choice but to hang off of every word uttered by our mainstream overlords.
Perhaps this answers a question I’ve been battling with for the past few years...since when did subversives start believing the news?
When did guys with green hair and neck tattoos start quoting the paper as if it were Jello Biafra’s manifesto?
We’ve entered an age where certain subjects have such a strong triggering effect we can’t even broach them without breaking into a cold sweat.
It seems to me we’ve all been bullied into compliance.
And for this reason alone, I no longer judge my punk-rock friends for falling so easily into the accepted narratives.
Few people have the fortitude needed to handle this level of shaming.
Today, if we want an opposite perspective to Multi-National Conglomerate Channel 5, all we have to do is turn to Multi-National Conglomerate Channel 6.
And anything outside of the Institutionally Approved Perspective, and the Institutionally Approved Opposite Perspective, is instantly relegated to the dank cellars of, “conspiracy theory” or labeled as, “fake news”.
This is why we find video after video after video of hypnotically militarized Left and Right wingers passionately answering questions with neatly packaged slogans; immediately followed by blank stares the moment they’re asked to elaborate on the reasons why.
Because this is how propaganda works; it hooks itself into emotional reactions and sways you into making broad, sweeping, triggered judgements, without even understanding the reasons why.
And if modern-day propaganda isn’t coming from our trusted social media platforms, our newspapers and our television sets, then where is it coming from?
What happened to, Question Everything, Question Authority, Question the Status Quo and Question Government?
All sayings now relegated to neon-colored ‘80s t-shirts.
The instant shaming of anything that contradicts the institutionally enforced narratives as, “conspiracy theory”, which seems way too convenient to me, has firmly established itself within society itself and has now become the norm.
Ask yourself, aside from what we’re currently being told the truth is, do any of us actually, I mean actually, know what the truth is?
As for me, I refuse to be shamed for trying to get out of my comfortable bubble. I don’t like to be spoon-fed the answers. I’ve never trusted the status-quo and I’ve always believed that we need to look deeper.
So I took the dive...and I went deep...
...you know what I found?
Opinions I’d never heard before, perspectives I’d never even previously considered, facts that if known would bring into question deeply embedded systems we blindly trust, and even worse, massive, extremely influential, corporate entities we’re completely unaware even exist.
...surrounded by insane, off-the-wall theories, red-herrings and dead-end trails, all infiltrated by near-imperceptible psy-ops and off-center people with malicious agendas.
But this brought with it a clearer understanding of what the mainstream media is...
Sponsored view-points, sanitized perspectives, a shielding of corrupted systems we’ve been fooled into trusting, and even worse, no mention whatsoever of the massive, destructive, corporate entities it’s imperative we be aware that exist.
...surrounded by insane, off-the-wall theories, red-herrings and dead-end trails, infiltrated by near-imperceptible psyops and off-center people with malicious agendas.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we should believe any of it, because as I said before, we should question all of it.
Because ALL sides, coming from EVERY ANGLE are half-truths surrounded by lies.
And the lies, like the mines in a mine-field, are so hard to distinguish, chances are good you’re standing on one right now and it’s currently blowing you apart.
When I finally emerged from that bottomless pit, and the chaff was burned away by the light of day, I noticed some unexpected changes in me...
A loosening of theories so ingrained I didn’t even realize they were simply theories. A conditioning that was so imperceptible I never even knew it could be questioned. And an internalized status quo I was so completely unaware of, a simple nudge caused a colossal shock to my system.
Sparks fired between synapses that have forever shifted my world-view, re-arranging the meticulously constructed scaffolding I once called, “accepted reality”.
And I’ve understood something beyond a shadow of a doubt, things are not at all as they’re presented to be.
And, “conspiracy theory” is unquestionably, a term used to discredit any opinion that isn’t what we’re currently being told to believe, scathingly deflecting us from the hidden agendas of the powers that be.
Maybe it’s time we all looked up from our algorithmically appointed mire and asked ourselves, “what other opinions are out there?”
We all know we need to step out of physical complacency to keep our bodies healthy but we’ve forgotten that the mind needs exactly the same thing.
And truth is always in the middle, which means that if we don't look at all sides of every argument, we’ll never even find the middle.
As for me, I refuse to live in a box; especially one manufactured by institutions with a horrific track record, that not a decade ago we all knew enough to distrust.
I don’t care if they’re Right, Left, up, down or sideways.
I’ll subscribe to none of it.
But it was only through looking at all of it, that I finally saw the big picture.
